2008/09 Exam Information

Attendance during the Examination Period

"Statements of Entry" giving details of the examination which students are entered for, have already been distributed, so the students should know the times and dates of the exams. The timetables along with a 'Notice to Candidates' can be found at the bottom of this page.

Morning sessions begin at 09:00 and the afternoon sessions at 13:00.

Having stored school bags and coats in the designated room all candidates must report to the examination room at least 10 minutes before the examination is due to start. No bags are to be taken into the examination room. There may be occasions when the examination room may have to change from the published room and it is therefore vital that students check on arrival at school. It is the candidate's responsibility to be at school on the correct day and in good time for the examination. Examination Boards do not accept forgetfulness as an excuse for absence and missed papers cannot be rescheduled under any circumstances. However, if any student should miss an exam session owing to illness then a medical certificate must be forwarded to Pat Macmaster at the school as soon as possible. If there is a delay in travelling please ring school immediately and candidates should still try to get to school as quickly as possible. We will endeavour to find a solution to the problem but cannot guarantee to solve it before they arrive in school. Please inform the school as early as possible on the day of any problem of this nature so that alternative arrangements can be explored.
