The P.E. Dept. has high expectations of all pupils and encourages a positive attitude at all times. By meeting the challenges set, we encourage pupils to develop in areas other than just the physical. Teamwork, discipline, respect for the game and opponents, a pride in presentation and performance, and the understanding of underlying principles are some of the important aspects which we try to develop.

We feel that enjoyment is found in facing and overcoming new challenges and in the pushing back of limits regardless of ability and experience. Through a range of opportunities in curricular and extra-curricular provision we aim to build a good base of skills, physical abilities, and positive attitudes towards all aspects of P.E. Our philosophy is simple; we try to lift pupils beyond their vision of capability.
